Ok, so its hard from this end to know what to write you - normally I would go on about movies, books, music .. however given the enormity of your work and the experiences you and your crew are experiencing - it seems weird to be writing about that kind of stuff .. BUT, I must say, however trivial, that you look very handsome in the beret!
I can't imagine the heat you describe and how difficult it must be too sleep - I hope you can find some distractions that help you sleep .. hmmm .. can't think of any off the top .. but maybe you can!!
So, I have some questions for you, when do you get time off and where can you go? What can you do? Were you able to bring books with you? Are we allowed to send you things (i.e. book)?

ReplyDeleteAs far as time off no we don't get time off as we do as home. We work 30-40 days and you are creditd time off (CTO). When yu get those we can go to neighbouring countries as we are encouraged to leave the Mission area when on CTO. I have a couple of books but I have erady them already so I you have a spare or two kicking around... Were you able to bring books with you? As far as sending things there are some rules what we can get..Sheryl has those.
I usually start shutting it down around 9PM but sometimes we whoop it up and say up to 1030 when we are feeling crazy! I have some shennanigans ont he cook right now to pass the time but they are Top Secret ;)
Glas Vagas hmmm never hear of them I thuoght you were still hooked on 54-40. And what?!?!?John Cusack is out?!?!?! Why was I not notified earlier? Who is this upstart Robert Pattinson?

Hello there, Don!! It's Dorothy and I recently discovered this blog but this is the first time I've ever posted anything on it. First of all I must say "congratulations" on your posting to the Sudan, and when I first heard about it, I was very proud of you!!!
